How to prepare a readable receipt photo

Crop, rotate and improve a receipt photo before saving it or reading its text.

   Take the photo in even light, with the whole receipt visible. Avoid glare and deep shadows.

   Select the photo, rotate it upright and crop the background. Adjust brightness, contrast and black-and-white mode while checking the preview.

   Save the edited JPG. You can then open it in the text reader or combine it with other receipt photos in a PDF.

Choose one image. Drag a rectangle on the preview or set the crop percentages. Export is a JPG, up to 3,000 px. Editing does not correct perspective automatically.
