How to remove location data from a photo
Create a fresh image without the original EXIF, GPS, XMP and IPTC metadata.
- 01
Choose your own JPG, PNG or WebP photos. Original files are not modified.
- 02
Run the metadata cleaner and download the new images, individually or as a ZIP. The cleaner removes metadata blocks from a newly encoded image.
- 03
Check what is visible in the image and rename the file if needed. Removing metadata does not hide faces, addresses or other visible personal details.
The image is re-encoded and metadata blocks are removed. This may slightly change quality or file size. Animated files become a still image. Visible text, faces and the filename remain; rename the download if needed.
